Question G37x. Is it totaled?

This happened recently while I was at the airport and after leaving the terminals I was making my way normally down the road. Now to be clear, I'm on the last lane on the right so I can make my entrance to the access road (TX thing) just a further bit down. Before the entrance is a traffic light intersection. My light was green and right when I had entered, a guy in a truck coming the opposite direction got onto the turn lane and drove right in front of me causing me to collide into him. I get out of my car and asked him why he did that and his excuse was "I thought I had time to make it". When policed showed he did say his light was flashing yellow and that he thought he was going to make it. Now as much insurances (State Farm vs State Farm) goes they're making me pay 25% of damages when he was 100% liable and admitted fault. My Gx is in the shop and they're thinking it's totaled due to more parts being damaged under the hood but they're not certain yet until the adjuster says that it is or it is still fixable. What I do know is that the coolant reservoir is slightly crushed by the hood but not leaking. Luckily my bags didn't deploy either and it still runs and everything else is functioning as normal. I'm burdened as this is my first car after just building my credit after paying 10 successful months of on-time payments and this happens. What do you guys think? Is it totaled to y'all?

When a light turns green I always make sure traffic is stopping prior to entering an intersection just in case some a$$hole is attempting to beat the light.
My suggestion is you should too.

It would most likely be totaled by your insurance company. Having said that, I am nearly finished with my front end rebuild, Ive spent just over 1200 bucks so far. Did all the work myself. Ive never done anything like this before and its been fun. I got a good quote for paint with my paint code so I will be letting the paint pros sort that out.

I would see what needs to be replaced. Depending upon what's available, you could try to replace the parts yourself.

Sorry man but yeah that looks totaled. What I don't understand is how are they making you pay 25%?? That means they are saying you are 25% at fault. I'd totally fight that with either a lawyer or tell them you are going to get one. Do you have the police report? If you had a green light and he hit you it's not your fault. Especially if he said he went through a yellow. Time to invest in a dashcam!

That's State Farm for you. Is the car paid off? Definitely fight them for that 25%, that's standard games they play...
