VDC light and "SLIP" light
VDC light and "SLIP" light
I have an 2009 G37 Journey and recently my VDC(Off) and "SLIP" lights come on when I accelerate. Sometimes my "Brake" light will flash and go off once I'm up to 40-50 mph. I'm not accelerating aggressive, just normal driving conditions??
Does anyone know why this happens?

If you're fluid levels are fine, there may be an issue with the ABS Sensor. Have you tried resetting the ECU and seeing if the lights come back?

I believe for the G and other infiniti products the wheel sensor or wheel speed sensor is part of the wheel hub assembly so they will need to replace the whole hub. I got my wheel hub replaced under warranty for free. Check your brake pads also. Those lights are identical low pads which lead to low brake fluid.
Greetings.
I had the same thing happen in my recently purchased 2008 G37S at low speeds around town. Alarming for sure. This forum has been very helpful with my research and I went the "start with the simple stuff" route. Checked the brake and clutch fluid levels, which were both down quite a bit, topped them off and it's be fine at all speeds and braking conditions ever since. WHEW!
Today I inspected the brake pads, which are probably the originals since it only has 40K miles on it and was obviously babied by the previous owner. The fronts are about half way (7/32), the rears are a bit more worn, but my mechanic said the fronts are fine and the rears are OK for another 5K miles. Will do them all at my next oil & filter change. Any advice on non dusting ceramic brake pads would be appreciated.
