Talking Old Owner, new to the forum

Hi guys! Lady Vivamus - aka my 2011 G37 convertible, is not new by any means, but we're new here. Lady V has a bit over 140K miles and is starting to show her years and miles, but she was my first sports car and is still a blast to drive. When I picked her up in January 2011 and drove home, my husband snagged the keys, then handed them back to me very ceremoniously, announcing that this was my "reward" for the 30 years I'd been driving mini-vans, station wagons, SUVs and "Soccer-Mom-Mobiles".

Welcome! That's a nice present you got there. Are you still giving your husband heck for ruining your body?

LOL wasn't much of a present, except to myself - my car, my car loan, my middle-age craziness (MUCH cheaper than a boy-toy!).

And no, I can't blame him (or our sons) for ruining my looks - they weren't much to start with. Short half-Italian broads are more for cooking than for looking.

I just noticed your location. That describes me, too. I wonder if I've seen your car? I'm in CLC.

Could be! I live in far west Friendswood (a mile or two east of the big Ron Carter auto dealership, next to the softball fields on FM 528, if that rings a bell). I try to stay off the Gulf Freeway, but I used to work in the industrial complex near Red Bluff and Bay Area Blvd, so you might have seen me puttering by. :-)

The only time I'm out your way is travelling to and from Texas Motorsports Ranch in Angleton. I take 528 to 35.
