New IPL G owner from NC
Figured Id stop in and say hi to everyone. I just recently picked up a Malbec Black G37 IPL here in NC. I currently work as a mechanical engineer in Charlotte and prior to owning the G, I daily drove a lifted 4runner. I've been wanting a G37 or Q50 for quite awhile now. But with my new job I figured it was time for a new daily driver.
Anyways heres a pic from yesterday. Cheers!

You wouldn't happen to be the guy turning onto Pineville Matthews from Alexander would ya? I saw a black sedan there yesterday with some mods haha. I don't plan on doing too much to the car. Maybe do something with the headlights, an intake, and high flow cats.

Haha yea its pretty ironic. My IPL is a 7 speed auto. I originally was looking for a manual, but I do a lot of stop and go driving living in Charlotte, so I opted for an auto when this one popped up for a good price. This is actually my first vehicle I bought that is an automatic. Both of my other trucks are manuals and I drove them daily for the past 5 years. Manual in a crowded city in stop and go traffic gets old real fast.
Just incase anyone was curious, my vehicle background has been primarily offroad trucks and jeeps. I do a lot of my own work and fabrication. My shop is pretty well outfitted, itll definitely be a big change from working on lifted vehicles. Here are a couple pics of my other two trucks. An 89 4runner and an 84 pickup thats been heavily modded. Please excuse the dirtiness of the truck in the first pic. I just got back from a trip to Windrock 2 weeks ago and havent had a chance to wash or clean off the mud.

Agreed, traffic isn't as bad as Atlanta (wifey has family there) but the drivers here being nosy make it more difficult than it needs to be. lol. I'm in Charlotte too. Nice IPL, love Malbec Black. I guess I'm on the wrong side of town. I think I've only seen 1 modded G37 since I started driving mine in January

Post up some of those meets. I'm coming from the Euro crowd so i only know about DCEC and Cars & Coffee. I heard there's one at UNCC but I would assume I'm a bit old for that one... lol
