Hello all. I finally got my first G37S. I am looking to do the basic mods to it....intake, coilovers, wheels. Nothing too aggressive. But I have a few questions and figured I would start here since I just joined. I want to lower my coupe about an inch to an inch and a half. I also want my wheels to be flushed with a slight camber. I often notice that those who have some type of camber to their wheels have more of a rounded tire. Why is that? Are they bought like that or do they wear like that because of the camber positioning? With that being said, what tires would you all recommend (size and brand) and what wheel size? I'm leaning towards 18s or 19s. I want it to look like this....but not with the chrome wheels. thanks for all your help!

That drop is quite a bit deeper than 1.5", more like 3+",
Check the wheel/tire & suspension folders for specific questions there. Excess camber will wear the inner shoulders of the tire and you need to keep your toe in spec as you lower your G, otherwise your tires will be toast in a hurry.
LOL. At that height, every speed bump, pothole and moderately steep driveway will cost you a couple grand in bodywork.
I remember years back having an aggressively lowered honda riding my *** and saw a big pothole coming. I was driving an old crown victoria at the time so i just took it while watching my rearview mirror and BOOM, explosion of plastic body panels.
Well that's definitely why I am on this post...to get valuable information to make the best decision for my mod. Thanks.

Check this build thread folder, some very nice setups there and most of them are set up to be decent daily drivers. Most of the details are listed in each thread there so you can get a better idea of what parts you'd need and what wheel/tire specs are what you're going after. https://www.myg37.com/forums/build-threads-399/

Figure out what you are willing to spend on various mods and look through the posts linked above. If you want it done right, you'll have to spend some money on supporting mods (like control/camber arms).
Depending on which model you have, 1" might not lower you much. Post some pics and details and we'll be able to tell you better.
The height you mentioned will require Coilovers at least. It looks nice but will be a pain depending on the roads and amount of construction in your area. You can get a nice tire tuck with the right wheel, tire and height combination that may be a bit less stressful to drive...
