Considering a G37, have some Q's

Hello all-

Considering a G37 for my next car, have a 350Z right now but need something better suited for both snow and city/traffic driving (so I will likely get auto AWD). Some questions:

-is bluetooth standard (like for phone connectivity)? If not, how common of an option is it?
-typical gas mileage for stock 7AT?
-reliability/things to look for when buying?
-were ventilated seats an option (they are on the Lexus IS250 which I'm also considering. That's big to me since it gets hot and humid as hell during the summer where I am)

Thanks

Welcome!
Not sure which pkg's include bluetooth, our 09 Sedan w/ premium pkg has it.

I would look for a 2012+ G37, the prior years have an inferior oil gallery gasket that is more prone to failure, if you need that repaired it can cost upwards of $2k
I think ventilated seats were only available on convertibles.

Also the AWD Coupe w/ S pkg has a lot of performance upgrades, the AWD Sedan w/ the S pkg is more of a cosmetic pkg.

G/L w/ your search, hope you find one you like.

Hey Cam and welcome.
1. I'm not sure if bluetooth is standard but my 2013 g37 journey came with handsfree calling but no audio streaming. I've done some research and it seems bluetooth audio streaming doesn't really exist. You can really only pair your phone as a usb like device through bluetooth.
2. I get about 13 mpg on the street and 26 on the highway but that's because I drive like a butt.
3. Just make sure it isn't a salvage, no accidents that kind of a thing. Take the car to a dealer and get a presale once over shouldn't cost more than $200.
4.There are seat heaters but not coolers. However the ac in the 2013 g37 is the coldest blowing ac in any car i've ever been in. I live in la and even in the summer the car cools me down within a minute.

Hope I've answered all your questions.

I just recently bought a 2013 sedan - it was certified rwd with 23 k
I get average in vegas 22mpg work on strip & live about 14 miles from strip

U can play music from yr phone thru the USB charger in glove box
I play all my music -Amazon-pandora -Spotify

Like masked builder said the ac is strong & car cools down quick in vegas

G37 has a lot of horsepower compared to is250

Is250 is smooth - smaller then g37

- bluetooth audio streaming comes with Navigation. otherwise, i believe you only get phone features.
- i get 16-19mpg (mostly all city driving - which kills mpg) in my AWD 7AT coupe, depending on how heavy my foot is and how bad traffic is.
- ventilated seats were in the convertible G but not sedan or coupe.

Also, if you were considering a Q, would you have some Gs?

Silly, he already said that he has some Qs.

There was a "used" Q60 Red Sport 500 awd in the showroom in Mission Viejo, CA. You might want to go for that.

I recently bought an '09 coupe and all the shopping I did (300 mile radius of Detroit) shows that 2011 and later have a USB port, pre-2011 only has iPod connector (Infiniti product planners were REALLY short sighted in that area), and I have RCA jacks to run video on my nav screen...like I'm ever gonna do that.

I get 22-23 mpg in mixed, sane driving, occasionally using A/C over these warmer months. Got 27.5 mpg on the highway driving it home from the dealership at a steady 70 mph (150 miles distance) in the spring, cool enough didn't need A/C but discovered tires were WAY overinflated.

As usual, find the cleanest, lowest mileage one you can afford. I wanted newer but mine had only 30k and was never driven winters. It was also the lowest priced I found so it all came together. It came with a car cover the previous owner had (though I bought from a dealer), so assuming the previous owner simply tucked it in for the winter. Car shows it too as it is REALLY clean and eight years old. Best of luck if you haven't yet purchased!

Here's an epic thread on that issue~

You won't know unless you have an oil pressure gauge to monitor the pressure, the low oil pressure code will pop up, but only when the gasket has already failed

Let me chime in with a few:

1. I had a 2008, first of the G37s. It had bluetooth for phone only; no audio. I had to add a small mod to add music too.

2. FWIW, my 6sp did high teens in city but able to get to 23MPG on a long 75MPH stint. Good for a 3.7 IMO.

3. My car was very reliable. I would look for a good history and maintenance record.

4. I don't know of any cooled seats in earlier G37s. Mine did not have it.

Good luck!
