Question Automatic to manual shift ****?

Hey guys, I've been thinking about how much I hate the oem auto **** and decided that it is time to get rid of it. The thing I hate is that anytime I want to shift I have to hold down a stupid button. Also I don't' think it look very good. What I want to do is install an aftermarket shift **** designed for manual cars(mainly because of the better looks and usability) but I am worried it won't work because of the god forsaken button on the auto ****. Is there someway to safely change the auto **** to a manual one?

Welcome to the site!
The center of the AT shaft has a rod that has to be engaged, hence the pistol button on the OEM ****. There are a few options such as B2 Autodesigns AT ****, and to engage it you just push down and pull back, it's not a smooth as the OEM function however.

There's also a different OEM **** such as this you can try.
