Soon-to-be G37xS owner

Hello to all! Today I placed a transfer request for a 2013 G37xS in Ivory Pearl with Black Obsidian interior, auto with premium and nav packages. This was done through CarMax because I couldn't find any models with this combo local. I have been eyeing this car along with a few other competitors' offerings and finally settled on the Infiniti due to the reliability and overall build quality reviews. I know there is more performance to be had, but the blend of luxury and sportiness really grabbed my attention. I look forward to gaining much more knowledge about these awesome rides and getting to know you all!

Hopefully they'll be able to locate exactly what you're wanting. Glad you found us and welcome to the site! Is it a coupe or sedan?

Hah I forgot that bit didn't I? It is a coupe, my first 2 door is a loooong time. It is definitely the car I've been longing for. She has 32k on the clock, 1 previous owner, clean title and everything my Chrysler 300 SRT8 had minus cooled seats, heated and cooled cup holders, and a couple hundred ponies. I don't miss the temperature controlled bits and 470hp was a little much on a daily basis anyway. Now my wife is happy with her 4Runner and I got to pick a new ride. CarMax tells me it's going to take up to 21 days to transfer the car from Colorado to Oregon but I hope it gets here sooner, I'm already having dreams of carving some of my local back roads.

Nice choice! That XS coupe has a few more goodies vs. the XS sedan, that's why I asked Hope the wait isn't excruciating.

Thanks for the warm welcome and replies! I got notification that the car is ready to ship, not that it means much since from what I was told they wait until they have a full truck before heading west. My current daily is a '06 F-150 4x4, which has been great for the nasty weather we've had recently but the 5.4 Triton is a thirsty bxtch. I anxiously await my first drive in the G, and the first fill up almost as much! I plan on some dark bronze or gunmetal wheels at some point and a JL sub/amp combo sooner rather than later. I've read a couple threads already and the info here is phenomenal! I just have to keep myself off here while I'm at work lol

Welcome, clean looking car. The G probably won't be THAT much cheaper to run than the F150, but it'll be a hell of a lot more fun for sure.

Thanks very much Epiphany! I wholeheartedly agree, the Ford is a great utilitarian rig but not much in the way of fun to drive. Can't wait to ride low again!

Lol. These Gs are thirsty and depending on your driving style and whether you use premium (lots of discussions, but general consensus is yes), your $$$ spent on gas won't be much different (like others have mentioned as well).

I'm surprised you stepped down that much power though.. Gs are a lot of fun and very nimble (with better sway bars), but they are by no means fast. Interesting choice and I'm sure you'll enjoy it nonetheless.

Also, unless you are not planning on driving it in the summer, you will absolutely miss cooled seats. I can never go without butt-climate-control. /spoiled

I traded my baby (the 2013 300SRT8) in on my wife's 2015 4Runner about a year and a half ago. She wanted more cargo space and she didn't like riding with my in the 300, since I had a bad habit of cruising the freeways well into the triple digits. We made it from Seattle to Portland (normally a 3.5 - 4 hr drive) in 2.5 hrs, averaging around 130mph. She wasn't too happy about it. The huge Brembo brakes squeaked like a bxtch, and I went through tires wayyy too fast. I live just a few minutes from work, and I still went through a tank of premium once a week. All in all, my wife is happy so I'm happy. The 300 was a joint venture, the G is all mine. I can customize this one any way I like, spend as much as I want on it, and I don't have to ask for permission. At the end of the day, I'll be happier than I am now and that's the third most important thing to me, after my wife and daughter's happiness.
