Mechanic Question
Mechanic Question
Hey guys,
I had a pretty newbish question, so figured this is the place to post it. From what I can tell on pricing, it makes sense to purchase the equipment (exhaust, springs, coils, etc...) online since the prices are so much lower, however I have nowhere near the expertise or time to install these myself. Do you just buy it online and try and find some mechanic to do the work or is there some unwritten rule that you should buy it from the person who does the work? Not sure what the correct etiquette is for this.
My background is: All I've ever had have been Honda Accords and a couple Mercedes so I have always just taken them to the dealer to get the work done.
Thanks!

There is a lot of information on this forum for you to work or get the job done yourself. A lot of people have written extensive DIYs to help you walk thru the steps.
With that being said, you can either give it a shot or take it to the mechanic, really depends how comfortable you feel performing the job. I would suggest you to get professional help if you're not good with tools.
You can buy good deals online and have your "mechanic" install it for you.
Good Luck!!

Welcome to the site Payton, might get lucky and have a member on teh site that can help with the install. Might post in the regional folders at the bottom of the forum and see if anyone is near you that can lend some help.
