New to the forum

Hi everyone! I have owned a 2010 37x for a while now and have come here for know-how countless times. Thought id finally join! I have just recently started modding the car and wanna know what everyone thinks, doing my best to avoid the ricer crap. Im 19 and on the lovely college budget. As of today i have the 'g37x' debadged, grille and back lip + letters are black, emblems are still chrome. Windows are tinted 5% all around besides windshield obv. Looks sharp. I just ordered an HKS axle back exhaust for it. Looking for a deep but still mature sound that doesnt sound like a f***ing trumpet at high rpm. Other than that shes stock. Let me know your thoughts thanks

Looks nice so far

One thing I don't understand is why did you paint the lettering black and left the fuji chrome?

I think you should also get rid of the chrome around your windows and that 5% looks really nice. Just roll em down when you see popos

Thanks a lot, and as for the lettering im thinking about removing it. The initial vision i had for the car was a good mix between black and chrome, but now i kinda just want the emblems chrome

Yeah if you remove the lettering , it will give you a better look IMO. Good luck with your G

Woah that was super fast - I need to debadge my G as well.

What is next after the axle back? What do you think about the spoiler (It can be replaced with the carbon fiber lip spoiler) - just my 2c

Keep us updated with the mods and good luck with your build!!!

This is my first time modding a car, i own two classics and ive learned everything i know about automotive on them. I was thinking maybe some spacers? 20mm in the f 25mm in the back? My concern with lowering it is i have a full car occasionally and wouldnt want scraping or whatever. Any suggestions? Might be interested in some more intake and exhaust stuff depending on how these HKS cans sound

Welcome to the site Mark, glad you found us. Here's a DIY for the window trim if you want to give it a shot~it will be a nice transformation IMO https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...-g-sedans.html And on your college budget might look into the TopSpeed Pro 1 Y back exhaust, I've had mine for many years now & it's worked out well.***Brad

Whoa! 5% tint? What state are you getting away with that at?
I get hustled for anything over 25 :/

I like that spoiler though.. Raised, but subtle. Would definitely keep it.. Maybe dip / wrap it, if you are going to continue with black wheels / accents?

I live in ontario, laws are changing a bit around here and cars cant be sold off lots with any tint. Here 20% is legal, 5% is not. that spoiler is stock and i freaking love it, wouldnt have it any other way. Yes the black accents are gonna keep coming. Was thinking about doing the door handles. Idc what anyone says rubberized coating are great. I painted at an autobody shop for almost 2 years and just tried the stuff about a month ago. Loved it. If i has a big truck or something i would coat the chrome during the winter

Welcome to the forum Mark! I like what you've done so far. After the exhaust I'd HIGHLY recommend a set of lowering springs and perhaps wheels later down the line. But springs would be my next go to mod 100%. For a nice sublte drop I would recommend Swift springs and for a but more aggression I would get the Eibach Pro Kit. Its a cheap mod that does HUGE WONDERS esp with the G sedans.

PS... where do you live that you were comfortable enough to get 5% tints!? Lol

Thanks for the input! Does lowering still look good without spacers? I am knowledgable mechanically, do you think id be able to install the springs myself and just take it for an alignment? Also i NEED some ideas for black rims and i dont want to spend a whole if i dont have to. Also i live in ontario, 20% is legal here 5% is not butttttttttt it looked good enough to take the risk
