Not my first G.
My first G was a 1992 P10 driver (non DET) that I just put to rest at the scrap yard just recently. I acquired it as a dealer trade-in previously owned by some old lady who kept it in her underground garage for 20 years. I bought it in 2013 with 95km for $1500.
I buried her with 140Km and a dead starter.
But, I want to thank those over at G20.net for the years of great advice.
It was an amazingly reliable car and if it had been a 5MT, I probably would have spent the money upgrading to a turbo.
Which brings me to this forum.
I've had in my eye on buying a 2015/16 Subaru WRX as a replacement to my G20 for a while now only because I've been driving 4 cylinder cars forever and just have that need for something a little "peppier"
Then, I drove one.
Honestly, at my age, I'm not into plastic rattle-boxes that make my coffee spill on the morning commute.
Which takes me to my new ride.
After a few test drives of Acura TL, Audi A4 and a BMW 328, I got myself another G and couldnt be happier !
It's a 2012 G37xS in grandpa beige (my kids call it that)
Been a blast to drive but been having trouble making the transition to RWD after driving FWD for 20 years. I'm always worried about over-steer taking a corner too fast.
It also seems to be an a-hole magnet. Other drivers cut me off a lot more and ride up on my bumper on the highway.
Coming home tonight on my usual back-route, i made a left turn a little too quickly and found the myself fighting with the steering wheel the keep the car on the road. I must have goosed it a little more than usual and rear end broke loose, wildly ! It totally caught me off guard.
The pavement was a bit wet but I thought i had adjusted my speed enough for it.
My last RWD car was a 1976 Malibu Classic (2 door)
