New to me...

Hey I just purchased a 2008 g37 coupe and I am pretty happy with my purchase. I have however come to realize that the previous owner may not have been the most responsible G owner. She has a few minor issues that are being addressed, but I've come to one I can't figure out. My car will no longer consistently start. It is a manual and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when it does or does not start. I've shut everything off inside that I can, and it won't start; then the next time I forget to do it and it starts right up... I've searched and searched and it doesn't seem that anyone has had the exact problem I've had or my internet research skills aren't that good. Can anyone offer some advice before I go get bent over at the dealership? Thanks in advance

How old is the battery? I'd start with that, these cars can be pretty hard on them, especially in the summer heat.
BTW, welcome to the site, glad you found us.

Thanks

I'm glad I did too. I read some of the forums and it seemed like a site full of good people just talking about their cars. The battery is good, I had it checked by two different places. Everything lights up and functions no problem, except it just doesn't want to start from time to time

I thought that might be it, but it turns right over when it does and sometimes it turns over right away, sometimes it takes 10 minutes. If it makes a difference it is a manual...
