was good fellow g owners?

been had my G for 4 years. 2010 G37x coupe. I was sad when I got a job transfer to the west coast and had to sell me car - however It worked out that I can do my job from a local posting - so dont have to sell my car!

I always wanted to do something with the exhaust.

I did some research and got me the Megan Racing Axel back exhaust system installed:

I honestly love how deep the sound is - however its just not as loud as i thought it would be. Interestingly iv had it for a about 2 weeks and the sound got better and louder. Does this rig get louder after certain use over a period of time? Would love to know what the issue is or is this just how loud it is. Sound is great was hoping volume.

What can be my next steps?

1) Should I go for the megan racing y down pipes(how would it benefit me? performance, sound, etc) - is it even worth it? or

2) simply go for some berk hfc (on my friends car - sounds great) for the performance boost and sound?

3) or get both? (not doing either way - just for knowledge purposes)

The exhaust note tends to get a bit deeper in tone over time, sounds like yours is breaking in well.
Might take a look at this thread, if you can go w/ test pipes (in a state where they don't have smog tests) this would be a good option, and the resonated pipes won't sound bad compared to regular HFCs. If you want to go w/ cats look at Resonated HFCs.
