Fast Intentions Resonated Test Pipes + Topspeed Axleback Pics/Video!

Hey guys so this is my review on the FI Resonated test pipes with topspeed axle back. I was really hesitant at first with doing this setup because I couldn't find any videos on it so no idea on how it would sound. Pulled the trigger on it in September, and waited the 4 weeks. No check engine light after installing the test pipes. Drove around for a one week with the topspeed axle backs and I liked it a lot, but picked an Invidia catback to pair up with the FI's. It sounded great, and there was amazing gains but I liked the topspeed better. So I actually ended up actually taking the catback off, and going back to just the FI RTP + topspeed axleback. . It sounds just like the topspeed axle back but the sound is louder. It is pretty loud but not too annoying to bother you. If anyone has AAM short tails, it sounds pretty much similar to that in volume with stock cats. Surprisingly no drone at all. 6th gear is dead silent, the exhaust doesn't make any noise unless you put your foot down. It gets loud after 3500-4500 rpms but it stays that same volume all the way to redline,it doesn't get any louder after that. There is a very light hiss at low rpms, but there was actually more hiss with the invidia catback. Anyway, I'll attach some pictures below of the install, and a video I took with the gopro the week it was installed. It does shoot flames if anyone is curious hehe. Video link of flames will be there as well.

Thank you Next Level Performance for helping me order them. The FI team did a great job on the build quality, and packaging was amazing.

Thanks for that, not much info on the F1 RTPs so good to know, was considering them w/ my TopSpeed Y-back on my sedan so you're making my decision much easier. Rasp was my only concern and from your video it seems really good, although my laptop speakers are crap so hard to tell w/ that, lol.

There is no rasp at all. I mean it's slightly raspy when you are driving it and the exhaust is still cold but even stock it was raspy on cold starts.

The non resonated ones will rasp like crazy. Its pretty much known that that will happen on any non resonated test pipe setup.

Should be $100 well spent

Xnick, how's the pipe smell, real noticeable or just mildly annoying?

I drive with the windows down 99% of the time so I smell it every now and then when driving then coming to a stop. You will notice it every now and then but you don't constantly smell it. The only other time I would really notice it was when I would park the car in my garage. I would just leave the garage open for 1-2 minutes after to let it air out. But after the tune though it has somewhat gone away. The tune made it smell a lot less overall.

I too have resonated fast intention test pipes, but I have stock cat back for now. I don't have any rasp, excluding a cold start of course. And I too drive with the windows down whenever I can, and I never smell my exhaust.

Now I did not buy the pipes new so please do not hold me to this, but the guy I bought them from told me the resonator is removable. If I'm wrong please correct me. I left them resonated.
