I was a GM fan, Pontiacs, Chevys, Cadillacs. Went shopping for a high performance car starting last October. My wife didn't like the Chrysler 300 SRT8 mafia look. I didn't care for the headroom in a 2010 and up Camaro with the sunroof (and the V8 cars all seem to have sunroofs). A supercharged GTO got bought out from under me. Couldn't find the right Corvette plus I'm not an empty nester yet so it's nice to have a car with 4 doors and 4 seats. So the Corvette got put off. For $20K the years of CTSV have a hideous looking dash (yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, in my opinion that dash in the 2008 and earlier CTSVs is horrid). Along the way one salesman had me test drive a 2008 G37X with 108,000 miles and the base option package. I was impressed. Test drove a G37S and really liked it, but the back seat requires a beheading to be comfortable in. So I stumbled on a 2009 G37X with the tech and luxury packages for $19.5K and jumped the GM ship. The more I drive it the less I'm looking back and wondering if I made the right choice, I may never do the Corvette, time will tell. I do wish I had found a G37 convertible but all I found were well north of $25K.
