car died

Hi new to the site. I have a 2009 g37x coupe and only had it for about 6 months. The other day I was driving and the car lights on the dash started flickering and the car started hesitating around 30 mph. So I let off the gas tried to speed up and it hesitating again around the same speed again. When I pulled into the driveway and shut the car off I had no power to the cat at all. Next I unplugged the negative terminal to the battery and put it back on it had power and started right up. Kind of baffled what it could be maybe a sensor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dead Battery? That's the first thing to check. My Certified 2010 Sport battery died like 3 weeks after I bought the car. If the ignition lights come and the car cranks could be something electrical in the engine or computer.
