Go with the coupe man got my coupe 2 weeks ago 2011 X coupe. Best decision i've ever made came from an 05 TL. The coupe is more fun my buddy has a sedan its cool for lugging people around inside looks nice but outside the coupe is untouchable. You will get a sedan and get bored.

 

You do know the sedan is technically faster than the coupe and the handling is on par, right? How exactly does that make the coupe more "exciting" than the sedan. Also, I've owned both and I can say the only real difference is the looks (which is subjective), better sounding exhaust, and the amount of doors.


Since performance is a wash it really comes down to ones preference towards styling and whether or not they need 4 doors. That's about it.

 

Coming from having both 11X Coupe and now a 09 X sedan. You really cant go wrong with either, They both the same motor ,performance, The aftermarket parts are almost the same unless you want coilovers( X cars are out of luck 1 maker only). I rather the sedan just for the fact there's more room. Performance , looks to me they are the same. Coupe and sedans both come in S models.

Do you need a back seat or not, It's more on what do you"need" Vs what you want.

 

I've too owned both and agree with all of this.

Without any constraints I'd pick a coupe b/c I like the looks better but Sedan is more practical for me now with a family and all...
