Newbie here with a wheel size question!

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 2011 G37x sedan and I'm considering upgrading the wheels. My question goes out to all owners with 19s or 20s. How is the ride? Is there any issues with 20s? My true wish is to purchase the coupe wheels or GTR wheels, but it looks like that's hard to do without spending 2k. I found a set I like, the Parallax HyperSilver wheels from Verde, but I can't decide on size. 20s are $1,100 and 19s are $1600.

Sorry for the long post, but you guys are the only ones who can help me out with this as you've been through this personally

Welcome to the site, glad you found us
You have 17s right now so going up 2 sizes to 19s will firm the ride quite a bit and 20s another notch further. Tires are cheaper for 20s but if you don't plan on lowering the suspension I would go w/ 18s or 19s (20s look a bit off w/ stock suspension) Going w/ a square setup is easier since you have the AWD, if you go w/ a coupe setup those will be staggered so you have to be very careful w/ tire selction. You should be able to find used coupe wheels in the classifieds for under $1000 and will be a higher quality rim than the Verde wheels you're considering. If you have additional questions take a look at the wheel/tire section and post in that folder for quick replies.
