hello to all from a newbie

just making a post to introduce myself and car. i have a 2008 G37S in black. it has a cf hood other than that, its just a basic ride.

I had an 06' silver G35 a few months ago that i treated myself to but my wife put it in a ditch a mile from our house while i was deployed. Treated myself and got the G37.

I had a misfortune with the car when the slave cylinder went out. wasnt covered by my aftermarket warranty. had to replace clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and throwout bearing. Went out of pocket for 2,500 so my funds for mods are low.

I did however get my hands on CV2 Vossen wheels so win for me.

I have plans to do to the car. the obvious: lower it, exhaust, intake, wheels (put on), headlights (lookingt at 180customs), cf trunk (looking one from custom garage) so i will be asking for input from people from the site to help me out and what direction to take to start.

( rable, rable rable. i know my bad for the long post. Thanks for reading)

Welcome..sounds like the misfortune led to a better path anyway(minus the slave cylinder).

thanks for the welcome adrian. so today i did the coilover install. took me a while. started at noon and didnt check out of the lift till about 8 in the evening. first time i have done this so im ok with the time it took. moving on, i like the drop on it and i rides really good. now im no expert in suspension quality but for me it was great. for comparison to oem it was on par with it. no rubbing or clearance issues at the moment. i did not get to sawp wheels due to my error. i left the replacement lugs at home. poop goose. here are some pictures of it that just give it a little justice. ill post few more tomorrow when sun is out for better look.

well im installing the rear spc arms tomorrow followed by the wheels. just one quick question, trying to maybe get some clarification. installing the rear arms for the template, do i just center it over the holes and allow for equal spacing or You only have to elongate the inboard side of the holes not both ends. i did much reading and research and that was quote from BLACK BETTY.

You center the template and you just cut the inboard side of the slot (the side toward the differential pumpkin) that's where you'll adjust to add less camber, if you elongate the outboard side you'll just be elongating the part of the slot that will never be used.
