Even before I sign the papers
Hi folks.
Just starting here after 4 years on the Thunderbird Nest.
CARMAX is shipping a car from another store to my local store here in Ft Myers.
Got a ride in one of the coupes a while back and was very favorably impressed so I started researching.
Found what I wanted on Carmax.
Test drove one here in ft Myers that was an 09 and had 101,000 miles on it!
That was more effective than showing me a practically new one! The car looked and drove like new. Now that is quality.
What I am buying is the ubiquitous Journey Coupe with Premium package. A 2012. I had to have the sunroof and the Bose.Anything else was gravy.
I would have liked to have had Nav but Nav with a light colored interior is very rare.
I am buying a gray with gray interior. It has 22K miles.
Selling the Tbird (2004) or....if it isn't sold when the G gets here...then I will trade it in.
They tell me my car may take as long as 3 weeks to get here, but 2 weeks is more likely.
I am looking forward to reading as many past posts as I can over the next few weeks and trying out the search function.

Picked up my car today. Not the one I went down to get........
That one picked up a scratch and some fermented bug guts while being transported..
Carmax will always get my Reco,They returned all of my my transfer fee and I could have walked.But, since I had been there last, they had a new listing.A 2013 Journey coupe with the same equipment and 5000 miles more. Of course using the $600 Transfer refund, it was only $400 extra to get a 2013 that had no scratches and bug guts. I did it.
What a pleasure doing business with these people.
Love the "responsiveness" of the car. I am one happy camper!!!!!!
