Correcting a Prior Mistake!
Correcting a Prior Mistake!
Hey. Just thought I would introduce myself. Last year this time, I was looking for a new car. I am a Nissan guy. Owned and still own Nissan's for most of my life. Maxima's, Sentra's, 280z. I have loved the all at one point. I currently have a 2011 Maxima Sport. Wifey's car. For my car, I wanted something powerful yet refined. I looked at the G37 and the 335I. Well you can probably guess which way I went based off the title of this post. WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!
335i! Fast, powerful, refined, PAIN IN THE AZZ!!!! I have had the worst time with this car. Don't get me wrong, when she is running and running well, awesome machine. She rarely runs well!! It is always something with this car! I have done all the major repairs. This car has costed me about $3500 in repair costs and I am finally done!
Looking at a 2010 G37S Coupe 6MT now. This is what I should have gone with in the first place. I will trade and have to eat negative equity but I will do it to get rid of this headache.
Thanks for listening to me rant and I look forward to spending time in the forum.

Glad you found us and good luck w/ your search. Might even check the for sale listings on the site, some nice ones show up quite often.

Yeah! $3500 is enough for me. She is still needing Vanos solenoid and probably another HPFP as my gas mileage has tanked, but I am done! I will let the next owner or the dealer who trades this take care of this. and I have not even had her a year either. Keep in mind also, she is stock! Have not even had the chance to get a JB4 tune or dp's, CAI! Nothing!!! All of that money was maintenance. Oh well, you live and learn!
Same here! 12 G37X!
After a $6000 bill on a 528ia few years back, I can say the only good BMW is one on a short term lease, with full warranty and free maintenance. Why? The loaner cars of course!
