New owner - does my car have a problem?
Hi,
I just bought a used 2012 G37x with 16K on it and was real happy until I started noticing something. When I'm driving on the highway and pressed my (lead) foot down to get burst of power, it feel like I was driving in neutral. When I lay off the gas and then "ease" into it more, it's all better. I'm wondering if this is a transmission issue?

I'm assuming you have an auto? If so I believe it's quite normal. It likes to stay in the 7th gear and when you gas it, it tends to lag on the downshift. If you're trying to gun it, just lower the gear manually. Use the shift feature in DS mode or use your paddle shifters if you have em.
Yes. Automatic. That's what I thought because I don't feel any gear slipping. I followed up on your post elsewhere on the Internet and it seems consistent with what others are saying. Thanks.
By the way, I'm falling in love fast. Dollar for dollar I don't think I could have done better. What a fun drive!

I have a 2011 g25x and it is far less powerful than the g37, however, I had a loaner 2013 g37x for over a week, drove on the highway and it did not lag at all. Very precise and responsive when I hit the pedal. Maybe ask dealer to check it over again?
