Best Bang For My Buck Adding Some Power

Just bought a 2010 G37S, and love it. I read the great thumb-tacked post above about modding, I'm just curious what the best way to add a little power without a big bill... Hopefully can get some kind of difference around $500.

Anyone that has any input, I'd appreciate it.

I'd like to make the exhaust sound a little meaner, too. Do I need to go cat-back to make a difference?

Welcome to the site, congrats on your new G. I'd spend time browsing the intake/exhaust folders, you'll find plenty of info there. For $500 an intake or TopSpeed exhaust would be about it, or maybe something used in the classifieds.

I'll work on it tonight.

I would say blnewt is right on. $500 is a good starting point for a CAI, possibly Takeda as suggested, maybe an axle back, or peruse the classifieds.

You don't need to go catback for sound just axle back will do but if you want to really make a difference in performance I would say save for a catback.

Maybe a budget from $250, then $500, $1,000, $2,000.
Of course Plastidip fits in the $10 or less price point so I guess you could start there Anthony
