New to forum - Sticking with the G37

Hi everyone. I drive a 2011 G37x Sedan that I purchased new in April 2011. I've spent the past few months looking at new car options. I wanted something a bit faster than my G37x, and maybe something a bit sportier looking.

I drove a 370Z, GT Mustang and a BRZ. The 370Z was a little quicker than my G37x, but the inside wasn't as nice and the visibility wasn't as great. I like the 370Z, but it wasn't enough of an upgrade for me to start a new car loan. The GT Mustang had a good bit of power, but the ride and interior were major downgrades from my G37x. The BRZ drove nicely, but was a fair bit slower than my G37x.

There are definitely cars out there that are clear upgrades to my G37x, but they're all in the $60K plus territory - and I'm just not looking to spend that much right now.

So then it hit me - why not just do some work to my G37x? I still love my car, so giving it some upgrade love seems like a no-brainer over financing a new car - especially if none of the cars I drove impressed me enough to pull the trigger.

I'm a bit of a car noob, so that's why I'm here. I'm going to do a lot of reading and browse through people's build threads to get ideas as to what parts would be worth putting on my car.

I've heard very good things about the Stillen Supercharger kit - in that it gives a fair bit of a performance upgrade while still being very reliable. My understanding is that I might get a bit more performance out of a turbo, but it might require a bit more maintenance as well.

Well, just wanted to drop in and say 'Hi'. Time to go do some more research!

Welcome to the forum. Kudos on doing reading to see what's out there and what you like. Spend some time in the DIY forum and the build threads.

Bravo! I look forward to watching this develop.

This is a good example of why all "newbs" aren't hated.

Funny stuff^^^^^^^^^^^^

Welcome and hope you figure out what you want to do. Make sure you find people who have done the upogrades that seem like the direction you want to go just to make sure you like them. Many times things that looked very nice in photos on here, when I would see the cars in person they just didnt look the same. Sounds like you are off to a good start, make sure you post up what you're up to.
