New 2010 G37 owner with a couple questions

Hello everyone! My wife and I bought this car on Sunday and love everything about it. It has gobs of options that weren't even really expected. All in all we are very happy with the car.

I have however, found a couple of kwerks maybe that I'd like some help with.

1. When the AC is off (doesnt matter whether the setting is on recirculate or fresh air) my feet start to fry! Yes I checked to make sure the temp was on low. It's really warm down there. Is this a known issue? Is it just me?

2. Occassionally when trying to pull the shifter out of park the button that locks it in park won't release even when on the brake. I have to push it mulitple times or release the brake and then reapply.

Thanks for the help and thanks for the forum to be apart of!

Jason

Well I did notice the shifting but didn't think too much of it. Feels strong. What are you feeling? Are tsb repairs free?

O you will definitely feel the car trying to find the gear. Feels like a misfire but it's deff the transmission. It's like ur revving the engine in neutral but on drive. I called the dealership and they told me that tsb Isn't covered by extended warranty. But they said it's about $75 for the software update . So I'm taking mine in hopefully they're nice n do it for free since the car had been serviced there from the previous owner.

That's not happening for sure. Being it's now 4 years old I wouldn't be surprised if it was updated already. Right? Lol

Granted I've only driven it a couple times so far

yea, I thought so too. I actually brought it up to the salesmans attention, he said the same thing, being a 5 yr old car n frequently serviced at infiniti it shouldve been done. But a day later (yesterday at 925pm) it did it to me on the freeway

The TSBs seem to be hit or miss as far as being charged out of warranty, seems like they would do a "goodwill" w/ your extended warranty but it's up to their discretion

Jrowles91, welcome to the site & congrats on the G. The brake sensor may have moved and is not fully engaging when you press the brake and try to move the shifter, it should be a simple fix for the deraler if the sensor is still functioning properly. Is your warranty gone or still intact? If so, should be covered. Good Luck.
