New Owner Question
Last week I bought my first Infiniti - a 2010 G37S convertible with 23,500 miles. It was purchased from a local dealer in the Atlanta area and still has factory warranty until years end plus CPO warranty after that.
For the past five years my dailly driver has been a Maserati Spyder and I wanted a two door, four seat, hard top convertible so I could carry grandkids. I also wanted something a bit less costly to drive / compared to the Maserati. Initially I thought I wanted a BMW. However after driving two of them I was under impressed with the engine and several other points, and happened upon this car.
One concern I had about the G37 is that although it is a one owner, clean Car Fax, etc. it is from N.Y. Several of the screws and bolts under the hood and a housing appear oxidized. I have been assured by the dealer and others that this is due to the climate in which it operated and typical of such cars. I guess I'm satisified with the explaination, although still a bit skeptical and disappointed in the quality if this is true.
So my question is: Are other owners familiar with this oxidation phenomen? Also, are there any other particuliar problem areas of the G37 convertibles?
Thank you for any input and looking forward to enjoying the ride!

Welcome to the forum. I would say that could be true especially if it was from the NYC area and around salt water. My 2012 g37xS sedan was a lease return from that area as well so I will have to give it a look when I get back home Thursday and see if it has the same issue.
