Hi Everyone,


I'm new here and also a new Infiniti owner. I just purchased a 2013 G37S in October with 16K miles. I know have about 24K miles on the car and my "service engine soon" light just came on.


Before I bring it to the dealer and get raped, does anyone have any idea why this could be happening now?

It is still under factory warranty so it shouldn't cost anything to take it to the dealer. If you still don't want to then you can take it to a local auto parts store like autozone or O'Reillys and they can hook up to your computer and read the code as to what is causing it.

Is the service engine light? If its a steady engine light and not a blinking one it may be your gas cap is not tight enough. I had my service engine light come on and after reading the manual it turns out all the gas cap wasn't tight enough. Once I tighten the cap and drove a couple of short trips it went out.
