Performance Mods
Performance Mods
Hi guys,
I have a 2007 G35 Sedan and looking to increase its performance. I don't want to go SC or TT, so staying NA. I'm not looking for crazy figures, around 300-350HP at the wheels is good enough for me. So what kind of performance mods can you do to increase horsepower and torque in our cars besides intakes and exhaust ?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Manifold is the upper intake manifold that sits on top of your cylinders. Afaik, there is no aftermarket manifold for the g35. Unless there was a change in the design, you need a plenum spacer, not a new manifold. Headers are entirely a differs thing.
Mine is a V36 with the VQ35HR, sorry if I made you confused haha. I think the only one I've seen is the Motordyne M370.
At the moment all I've done so far are Berk test pipes, Motordyne XYZ Y-pipe with straight pipe and CAI. It really smells in a closed garage ! Haha

It's called an m370 because it is the Manifold-370. You do not have a 370, nor do you share the same engine. The m370 will not fit on any engine with a "35" in the name.
Correct, the plenum spacer accomplishes more or less the same thing. It changes your manifold geometry to prevent the front two cylinders from being starved for air when you drive hard. Motordyne makes the spacer most people use. It'll come with the spacer, new bolts, an aramid head gasket, and all the various other bits and piece. 2-3 hour job if you take your time .
By the way, what do you guys think of my car ?

Just in case you're wondering why there's cameras on my front bumper, it's because I'm from Australia and have the JDM Nissan Skyline haha.

Didn't realize you had the dual intake g35. I might be incorrect regarding the manifold. I'm still pretty sure the m370 won't fit, though.
