Noob Questions

I am looking at buying a G37 coupe. My question is the 08 has a 5spd auto and the 09 has a 7spd auto. So any info on which is better? I noticed the 5spd at 70mph was at 3k on tach, 7spd was at 2200 at 70? Also, does anyone know if the sport package eats the tires off faster than the base? And what is the difference between the base and journey models in 08?

Fewer gears means less gear hunting, more responsive, but poorer mpg. Choose your poison.

Base and Journey is all about options interior and exterior ...kits wheels nav no nav heated seats etc... trans just like K solo said but I cant speak on the 5 only the 7 and I love it! Sport M mode....yeah!!!

I have an 08 auto and even riding on DS or shifting I still average 22 mpg. Not bad. Only when challenges appear I play with her, but for the most part im cruising easily
