Cool Just bought my first G

Just purchased my first G37. She's in Louisville, KY right now but I will be bringing her to Norfolk, VA by the end of the month. I am currently in San Diego, CA, but I have PCS orders (U.S. Navy) to NRFK and will be finalizing everything when we drive through KY.

She's a 2009 Infiniti G37 Journey (Moonlight White), has 22K miles on her.

Mods include:
Infiniti AERO/IPL Front bumper
Infiniti midnight black front grill
Infiniti Splash Guards
Infiniti Sport Wheels w/ custom chrome powdercoat
Infiniti Sport Brake calipers & rotors (Akebono)
Stillen 500+ HP SC kit w/ 1000cc injectors
Stillen Roof Wing
Stillen Spoiler
Stillen Front and Rear Sway bars
Stillen G37 Ceramic coated headers
Eibach lowering springs
Ark G37 GRIP dual Cat-back exhaust
Brand new tranny with cooling system installed
Performance tune (Tuned by AMS in Chicago)

All mods except the tune were done at the dealership where the original owner purchased the car brand new. He purchased each upgrade through the dealership's parts dept. and had each part installed professionally by the tech's there at Sam Swope Infiniti. Here are some pics:

This was my baby before the G...I still do miss her a little. This first shot was around when I first bought her.

Nice ride dude! Does "Brand new tranny with cooling system installed" mean the tranny was toast and dealer installed a new one w/ cooler?

Thanks everyone for the comments!!

Yes Legz...I spoke to the dealership and the setup was overheating the stock tranny, so since Grant was such an awesome customer to them and obviously dropped a lot of money there at the dealership with the purchase of the car and having all these mods installed under their roof. They were able to pull some strings for him and get him a brand new one under the warranty policy. But this time, they complemented the new tranny by installing a complete transmission cooling system to it. I spoke to their tech, and he said they tested it and it was on the car when Grant and the tech drove it from Louisville KY, to Chicago, IL to have it tuned by AMS. Tech said the new tranny held up perfectly, the cooling system was doing it's job and the setup is now perfect.

It sure is good to start off a G with 400whp! Do you happen to have dyno numbers? What are the following up mods you're going to put on her?!

I don't have the sheet, but I was told that she has a race tune at 9 PSI and a moderate street tune at 7 PSI.

I know she's over 500 on the Race tune, but her exact numbers on the street tune were 473 whp and 481 whp on two pulls.

I bought this one so I can relax on modding a little. I am far too familiar with having a car that every time look at her, I would get fantastic ideas on ways to throw more money into her (I just got rid of my old money pit [2004 Dodge SRT-4 Stage 2]. This one is already done, it was done right and the only ideas I have in mind right now are to black out the trunk badging, the Mt. Fuji on the front and hit up BlueBatMobile for some GTR head and tail vinyl overlays. Other than that, I think she looks great, is built well and all I'll need to do is sit back and enjoy the finished car.

One thing I'm not too fond of are the chrome wheels, I would much rather have some blacked out wheels for this ride, but if I do, it would be done later rather than sooner.

Oh snap, I think you have the highest whp on a Stillen kit so far, there are some that have been fighting hard to get to where your car's at w/ a Stillen SC.

Thanks man, yeah I've been looking for you guys in forums. I was starting to think Hampton Roads was dead. Looking real forward to meeting everyone. How are the meets? When I had my SRT-4, in SoCal, I hosted an annual meet (biggest one in our area) at DCH Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Temecula and we had 50 SRT's at each one. Some pretty good turn outs. Other weekly and local meets were just small meets (3-8 cars sometimes). I also used to go to a couple of mixed meets one would be 40-60 cars a night every Wednesday night and the San Diego BIG monthly car meet (first wednesday night of the month) drew in anywhere from 200-300 cars per meet.

I don't expect Hampton Roads to be anything like SoCal was, but I was just wondering what the scene was like out there. I'll PM you when I get into town

Wow...I had no idea. I just wanted a beast DD. I specifically asked about the cars "drivability" (if it had lost any due to the lowering springs). When I put Megan Racing springs on my last car, I hated them because it made the car extremely difficult to drive. Every time I'd hit a bump or lip in the road, the car would bottom out with a huge bang noise...so it had lost a ton of drivability and I wanted to make sure the G37 on Eibach Springs didn't do that. The tech said he drove the car and it's lowered, but still feels like stock, doesn't bottom out or anything.

I also asked if it was "streetable" because this will be my DD, so I was curious on how aggressively tuned the setup was and he said AMS actually tuned it down some. It was pulling over 500whp with 9 PSI, so they set it to 7 PSI and it pulled 473whp and 481whp on two pulls. He said the original owner "Grant" wanted to use it as a DD as well, and that's why they tuned it down some. I was told it still comes with the race tune available though
