Greenville, SC new G37 Journey owner -From 2004 RSX Type-S to G37J-

Hello everyone! I just purchased my 2008 G37 Journey edition (7AT) in Blue Slate two days ago. I got it for $21,000 with 64,000 miles on it. The previous owner was one of my good friends so I know where the mileage came from and how it has been taken care of, immaculately.

My previous car was a 2004 RSX Type-S with over 12k under the hood. It's sad to see it go, but it had to be done. You can imagine the switch over from the RSX to the G37 was a strange one, but I have fallen completely in love.

Link to RSX craigslist ad in case anyone is interested.

Anyways, the only thing done to the car at the moment are a few blackouts, including the roof, headlights, taillights, front grill, and emblems.

Wanted modifications:
  • Air intake
  • Full Exhaust system
  • Tuning software
  • Coilovers/Bags depending on which was I want to go with the car
  • Wheels (Haven't decided what yet.)
  • Bigger/better brakes and rotors
  • Brighter low-beams

Now, I'm very knowledgeable on the Honda/Acura game but completely new to anything Nissan/Infinity.. Which ones/what brands should I go with for the aforementioned modifications?

'Nuff said, pictures:

(more to come)

How are you going to advertise a car for sale while disregarding the car's mileage?

Damn, completely forgot about that. The motor has 7,900 miles on it, and the body has 98,000. I'll edit it in. Thanks for that!

You bumped a seven-year old thread.

Besides, you're better off posting your location in the region forum.

Sounds like fun driving my new G sedan all the way to Texas. However, I'm on my second full tank, and I am beginning to notice that this car is the lowest mpg car that I have owned! Lol

Over my commute I average about 22 mpg. But... My previous cars were 1998 2.4L Accord, 1999 2.2L Camry, 2007 3.5L Camry.

You said the "C" word twice, damn. My G gets better MPG than my last truck.

The 2007 3.5L Camry was pretty zippy compared to the G. It was much easier to drive at a medium fast pace. The G seems to be forcing me to pick between luxury cruise and full throttle. No in between. But I only have a few days experience.
