Just wanted to drop a note in a say thanks for the site, I was on the fence with several cars, Camry V6,Passat Diesel until I drove the G37. I was not really in the market for this car but the Camry was just too ugly although a good bargin for what it is. The Passat was impossible to find and while I have a Jetta Diesel this new Passat is not yet proven, motor yes but not the rest of the car.

I bought a G37 Sedan from Beaverton Infiniti in Portland via internet. Its a 2010 Graphite Shadow sedan premium with nav/maple trim/and a few other goodies with 13k on it. From the pictures it appears to be in perfect condition.I also got the 84/100k wrap. One owner car who bought it from Beaverton, traded and bought a coupe.I had West Houston Infiniti pull up service history and everthing was by the book. I really do not know if it was a good deal or not but just could not find that combo around town. It was about 28,500.

Its my wifes car so I hope she will let me borrow it from time to time. It will ship out this weekend and land here in about 7-10 days. In the meantime I will gleen what I can from these boards as there is a wealth of knowledge here. Thanks for having me, Bill

 

Welcome to the forum Bill. There's quite a few of us from Houston already and it seems like a wave of new local owners have been finding their way to the forum here lately. Congrats on the new ride.

Did you consider flying up to Portland and checking out the car in person and driving it back home? I ask because I did that once when I bought a new truck back in 99. Of course that was just up to Oklahoma so it wasn't as long a drive home. But I'll be buying a new G sedan soon and I'd consider buying it somewhere else and driving it home. If you don't mind my asking, how much is the transport to get it here? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not post it.

It would have been my choice to come back Hwy 1 along the coast and across the desert but time restrictions did not permit. Shipping was about 950.00. I am working at West Houston infiniti doing a lighting job. Have you tried working with them. I would have bought from them but they did not have what I was looking for, in fact no one in Texas had G37 low mile, Nav,Maple trim in Grey. I found a white one at Sewell but they would not get even close to 32-33k

Yes, I'm going to give all 4 dealerships in the area a shot at my business first before going elsewhere. It's very likely that I will have to order the car from Japan to my specs (that's what I did with my '08 coupe) because I probably won't find one exactly like I want anywhere in the states. I'm not in a rush, I'm not buying for another 4 to 5 months. I'll just start looking about 2 months out.
