Newbie - Looking for some insight and pointers as well

Hey all,

I am new owner(LEASE) of a 2012 G37xS sedan. This is my first time posting on a forum as well.

There are some things I am looking into, and must consider as well, as this is a 2 year lease, rendering many "investments" irrational/impractical(so I am always open for input)

The car is Malbec Black on Graphite, S PKG, Nav, Door Sills, etc..

There are some things I am interested in:

1)I dont know where to look, but I want an OEM looking simple plastic mesh/honeycomb grille(nothing cheesy etc.. just love the "JDM look/culture" I've grown up reading about. The best way for me to describe what I'm look for would be how the stock black grille looks on BMW 335is etc.. (simple, neat, minimalistic, and that rubberized look is an added bonus)
I would also consider doing something like that in place of the chrome lip on the trunk if it can be pulled off looking factory and not like its spray-painted(I'm sure you know exactly what I mean)..

2)I'd also love to find out more about the GTR push-to-start conversion and what that will mean for me, as this is a short 2 yr lease..

3)Another thing I would love are the calipers from the coupe's S pkg (if theres a way to rationalize on a 2 year lease - I need the look, not necessarily the whole kit..)

4)Then, of course, come my questions re warranty as far as light upgrades go like air intakes etc.. (things that wouldn't be too expensive, as it would be pointless otherwise for a 2 year lease..

Thanks,

Joe

You sure a lease was the way you wanted to go???

i could be wrong...but I'm not sure if you should consider ANY mods...with a leased car. I've actually never heard someone lease a car and then already have a mod list set.....

You can do most of those mods, but will have to go back to stock when the lease is up. It's up to you how much you would like to get in.

As a lease you really can't do much ,you can do the GTR start button it's easy to install 1 wire harness . Headlights will be no good plus they a expensive if you want to paint etc.
Air intake will be pointless unless you are going to buy the same car or lease the same car this way you can use it again. It's really doesn't make sense to spend money on mods for a lease but if u have the money to blow knock your self out .
