Gotta agree. Nothing beats a true manual transmission with an honest-to-goodness clutch pedal.

Automated manuals are cool, but it's just not the same.

I would totally agree, right until I hit rush hour type traffic in a downtown / stop and go highway situation, then I'd love the automated clutch.

I guess it depends what you are used too. I am not sure anyone could make the 7AT a smooth drive the way it jerks between 30 and 40 MPH. I am fine with it as I like the power overall but this seems to not be an optimal transmission for every day stop and go driving.

Some people are bothered by traffic, others are not. It really doesn't bother me at all. Stop and go traffic sucks with an automatic too. Constant on/off the brake and gas isn't all that different from on/off the clutch pedal and gas.
