New Member! Love Our G37
Hello all,
I'm new here, but not entirely new to infiniti. I have moved from an 03 M45 to an 08 G37. I have owned 2 S2000's in the past and would love a stick, but my wife wanted an auto so she could drive this one most of the time. I got a pretty decent deal (At least I think). 23.9k 43k miles.
Being a noob, I'm not sure if I have a base or journey package.
The car has the base front bumper and brakes, but is fully loaded with everything but paddle shifters and Nav. (has 6 disc, sunroof, bose, ipod hookup, and probably other goodies I'm still discovering)
Being 6'4 the car is one of the most comfortable coupes I have ever driven, handles excellent, and has all the power I could need. I love the exhaust note (always have since hearing the g35). Car goes in to get the front and rear bumpers resprayed and finished (city parallel parking scuffs and scrapes) and will be mint when done, I cant wait.
The only thing I really fear is winter driving. We average 81 inches of snow per year. I'm contemplating Blizzaks....or another beater like I had in the s2000 days...really hoping to not have to go with the beater.

Congrats and welcome. I live in Chicago and drove my G all winter long with Michelin Ice X2's (or something like that). I had no issues! The winter tires and VDC are all that I needed to handle the snow.

Congrats on the car! I just bought mine this past Oct. and was a bit concerned about the winter myself. I have blizzak's on mine and it was fine. I wouldnt recommend going up any sort of hills/gradient if it can be avoided but they def. got the job done!
Anyway enjoy those resprayed bumpers... hopefully your lovely wife doesn't bung them up too quick!
jk jk I'm sure she is a worthy driver.
Enjoy!
Thanks for all the love. Just got the car back tonight. Body shop did a great job. I'll get pics up asap. Also thanks for the advice on the snow tires blizzacks it is! Unless I score a free winter beater.
she wasn't a fan. But was decent at it...I drive the TSX now, the G37 was her dream car, so I can check one off the list. The next car will be mine! Probably a Jaguar XFR in a few years.

...congrats!
