Yes a tune as in flashing the ECU, but you need to have it done by a pro tuner that can make it specific to your vehicle and mods to get the most out of it, like an UpRev tuner.

Breathing mods will help some, but you don't release their full potential until you tune the car for them.

Not the best since there are no before numbers. I know G37Sam put down nearly 300whp with all the bolt ons and tune...

I'm pretty sure I saw tuned cars with 330 whp, let me find them...
Mine came in 325whp on my 1st tune on a dynojet, don't know baseline # because I modded right away.

What did you put down with the mods before the tune?

Not sure, i had all my mods on when I had the tune done.

I know I gained 14whp from the tune,my best pull before the tune was 311whp.

Ok thats what I was wanting to know. Those gains are about on par with what I got out of my tune. The peak hp number itself doesnt really matter.

Hi

Im decided to buy the Stillen Ultralong air intakes, but still unsure about the other components... in view that at this moment I am only interested in naturally aspiration mods (and no intention to change to SC or TC in a nearly future), which components you recommend?

Headers- Short or Long? Stillen, Fast Intentions etc
Catback exhaust? HKS? Stillen? etc
And what about a Intake Manifold? any experience with it? (Kinetix, Motordyne)

In view that it will take several days I want to install all the things in the same week to take the best advantage of a CPU reprogramming

Thanks again

Sam

I'd skip the headers unless you want really loud/raspy exhaust. I would just get high flow cats or test pipes instead. It really doesn't matter which brand you go with for the exhaust as long as its full cat back, the power between then will be minimal with all the other mods.

As far as manifolds the verdict is still out I think. So far I've heard there were minimal or even negative gains even after a tune.

If I were buying all over again I'd personally go with Fast Intentions resonated test pipes and the Intimidator exhaust with the Stillen gen 3 intakes. Then get a tune on top of that and you should see some very impressive results.
