Long time lurker, just joined. Have a question.
Hello everyone. I purchased a 2010 G37x Blue Slate, and am thoroughly loving it. After a year and a half of debating, looking at finances, researching, and talking with local dealers, I finally pulled the trigger. I got her this past March, using pricing information from Zag.com. This forum was invaluable in my research and played an important role in my decision.
This past week, I had my complementary oil change at my dealer. I gave them my own stuff (Pennzoil Platinum, Purolator Pureone) and I even asked them to install my fumoto valve, which I purchased a few weeks ago. The service manager said "sure," and installed it for me.. pretty cool.
When I got home, I took a look underneath, to ensure they installed the valve correctly. I expected to see that 4 inch panel that's referenced by Blackjack here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...r-own-oil.html
Interestingly enough though, I have 2 squarish access panels. The access panel for the drain plug is not even covered, so as soon as I got underneath, I saw the fumoto valve. The other panel (for the oil filter) is covered, and is opened via 2 screws.
So my question is this: does other 2010 G37x have the drain plug exposed like that, or did the dealer forget to put a panel back? I'll try to post pics when I get home.
