Another new guy

Sorta, Im Ric in Denver and in the market for a new (to me) "car" I come from the 4x4 world, having a Toyota 4runner, hince my screen name, lol
The 4runner is my second 4runner I absolutly LOVE 4wheeling but its time for me to get a "car" I still have the need for speed, lol I use to race bikes years ago, anyways heres my old 1999) 4runner:

and what Ive got now:

Both have to many mods to list, lol
anyways, Im looking at an 08 G37, I was looking at a few cars, test drove the Benz C300, Lexus IS250 then today drove the 08 G37 and fell in love, lol
well enough about me, Im going to check out the site, do more research, before I ask "noob" questions, lol

Thankx for the welcome, and Yes it is different, lol
Im keeping the 4runner, but after just seeing the G35s/37s on the street, then test drove a 37, I feel in love
so far, the only thing I dont like, is that the coupe doesnt have fog lights in the lip

but the style, the handling, the speed, the luxury, wooow these are sooo nice

I don't think the C300 or IS250 are anywhere near the G37's league in terms of performance. You will definitely not be disappointed if you go with a G.

Well I went to Go Nissan on 104th today, to check out the 370Z, they didnt want to even talk to me, not even a hello..

I stop in, see a Z outside, so I spend about 5 minutes checking it out, checked to see if by chance the doors are unlocked, nope.
So I go inside, didnt even a salesman, so I ask to have someone paged, she pages for someone (cant remember his name) then I see one on the floor, I go over and check it out, sitting inside of it, checked the engine, checked out the trunck, two salesmen walk buy, neither even said HI, nothing, now every other dealership Ive been to, every salesmen will at the very least say Hello, or Hi, have you been helped?.... Not at Go Nissan, so I waited for about 20 minutes, and said to myself, they must not want to sell a car.. so as Im walking past the reseptionist, she didnt smile, nothing, that place was the WORST dealership Ive ever stepped foot on.
Not sure if I even want to go to another nissan dealer, that Infiniti, the dealership is looking better and better, lol

So today I go over to Tynans Nissan I pull in, go look at the Z convertable, yes its locked, lol I go in and have someone page, she does, and Im not kidding, a salesman comes RUNNING, no kidding.....
we get to talking, I take for a test drive, SWEEEEETTTTTTNESSSS Im so going to lose my license, lol
only thing, the nissan convertables are ragtops where the Infinitis are a hard top..
and they didnt have one with the nav. not that I was going to buy today anyways, I even met Kevin Tynan super nice guy, ZERO pressure from him or the salesman

So I leave and go over to the Infiniti dealer, and drove the G37 convertable, not the sport model, come to find out, the only real difference in the two is, the sport does not come with seat coolers, AC for the leather seats lol but the auto does have the paddle sifters
Same thing there, ZERO pressure, no pressure from the slaes guy or the sales manager

Its sooo close, do I want or need rear seats ????? (Im keeping the 4Runner) do I want or need the convertable ?????

I so need to win the lottery

well still no new ride yet, I had a brain fart and checked out the 2013 Genesis coupe, was nice and quick, but after looking, researching, looking at the numbers, etc etc its out, I just cant get the G out of my head lol
Im still stuck on either the AWD or the convertible

On one hand, I could sell my 4Runner get the G, and get a what we in the off road world call a "Basher" something cheap, just to hit the trails and have 4x4 for when it does snow.

Or just get a AWD, but from what I can tell and I could be wrong, but not as many performance mods for the AWD.
Man I need help lol

Damn, three years and you can't get the G out of your head, I think that's a sign
Should be a good time to deal on the Gs, especially the sedans since the new Q50 sedan just hit the dealers. If you really need AWD then by all means go for it, but you should be able to get by in Denver w/ a RWD w/ dedicated winter tires for 4 months out of the year and use your 4X4 if it gets serious. RWDs do have better options for modding but there's a decent selection for all the models. Suspension parts, primarily coilovers are pretty limited w/ the AWD models however. Both the coupe and the sedan are very close in performance w/ sedans usually testing a bit quicker due to a bit less weight, but the differences are so minimal. A good time to shop, go out and crunch the numbers, if a sedan is something you're considering it might really be a better deal right now.
Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer, 3 years is plenty!
