G35 Driver

Hello, My name is George.

I just made an account here but I'm active on Norcaldrift, G35driver, and my350z. I'm am getting to the stage where my g35 is uncomfortable to drive on the street. I'm finishing up prepping it for drifting. I have also sold of my 240's and I'm planning on getting a G37 in the near future..

Beautiful car!

What engine mods are you planning to do before prepping her for a drift car? Or are you just going to strip her and stick to bolt-ons?

I have most the bolt -ons and a tune right now.

I'm going for reliability and handling. I'm putting down just over 290 RWHP so not looking for more power.

Suspension mods:
Megan Racing Track Coilovers
Megan Racing Toe Arms
Megan Racing Camber Arms
Tein Inner/Outer Tie Rods
Stillen Sway Bars

Future mods are Solid Subframe bushing/collars. maybe a KPR kit if they can drop the price in half.

as far as reliability goes:
All the fluid coolers
Oil filter relocation
bigger oil pan
new radiator/fans
Pathfinder cooling mod

Weight:

Fully gutted trunk w cf trunk lid
replacing seats soon
useless engine hoses/wires

290rwhp is plenty. I'm not trying to go pro or anything. Its all about having the right setup. My 240 was putting down 135 RWHP and it weighed about 2850 with me in it. It was a great car. My sr'd coupe is about as fast as my G. My G is heavier but the power makes up for it.

i RARELY post in forums, but GODDAMN
your g is the sex. only thing i might have done would probably be painting the hood and trunk. although im feeling your two tone theme going on there. perhaps consider vinyl-ing your roof black?
also care to divulge your wheel and tire specs?

edit: MOAR pics plz!

Building a drift car but not competing? So you are building a drift car to drive around your neighborhood? I like the car and not knocking you, I am just trying to figure the thought process.

I plan on doing the local FormulaD pro am once i get a cage in. For now just local drift days and auto-x. It's all about having fun and enjoying your car.

Wheels: Volk ce28 18x10 all around...but i'm changing the setup to RPF1 18x10.5 all around.
