Need Help On Purchasing G37

Whats up MYG37. My names AJ. Here's the deal. I'm interested in buying a G37S and I am currently looking at two of them, both are black and S type. One is 6MT with about 14k miles going for $32k and an Automatic G37S for about $28k. Can't remember the exact mileage. But I'd like to hear some input on both cars.

Pros/con about both, if any at all. I prefer the 6MT because I'm a normal stick driver and don't really like automatic, but from what I've been reading, I've seen people making bad statements about the 6MT, with clutches going out and things like that. So I just want to get a heads up before I go spend alot of money on a car. Thanks!

Where are you from??

I bought the OB 6MT fairly recently and paid a little bit too much (32.5k), but I live in Washington. I've seen all of 4 6MTs out here. There's a lot of pricing difference in the regions - there are three dealerships in the whole state of Washington, two of which are within realistic driving distance and are both owned by the same company. I had a deal just about ready to go on an Auto for about 28/29k, but I wanted the 6MT.

I haven't had any problems with my clutch, but I took the clutch pedal return spring (that's what I call it) out because it made the car shift really klutzy and gave no tactile feedback.

Also, this thread will be probably moved to "Buying and Leasing" section...

I am from Bronx, New York. And sorry for posting in the wrong section, figured it would go here since I am new...

And I've been hearing alot about this DIY mod, taking out that spring under the clutch pedal that Nissan added.

Don't need to apologize to me - i'm not retentive like some Mods will probably move it, but the key is that you'll get better responses there.

The mod was actually tougher for me - the top pin didn't want to come out at all, and getting in there was tough. But it does make the car drive better, although if it could be replaced with a lower-strength spring (to remove the play @ the top of the pedal) the tranny would be perfect.

I bet you can get one in the sub-30k range in that area after you negotiate - there's probably a lot more units in the area.
