Really? I was told they average about 30 mpg if you keep your foot out of it

s2k doing 30 mpg is pretty easy, but RX-8? nuh uh.

Google "rx8 mpg" and read the snippets.... and enjoy a good laugh

 

lol how funny, i entertained the idea of getting a car on the side too. you can get an older s2k for pretty cheap. my gf's bro bought one a few months ago. i think it was an 06 model with less than 30k miles for a little less than $15K. man, i need a beater car...

I drove my friend's RX-8 a few times.

It handles great but honestly, if this is to be your "fun" car, I'd go with the S2000. The RX-8 is fun while compromising here and there (plus yes, the fuel economy on that thing makes the G laugh)
