The time has come

I wanted to come on, as it seems many others have, to say that while I don't yet have a G37 I'm heavily scouting out my new car. I'm very excited because my current DD is a 2000 LSB Cougar with ~161k miles that I've have since it was 4 miles new (she is back to the stock hood no CF). The car has been with me through so much but it's time to get to something new before she starts giving me any major problems. I also have a Supercharged version of the same car which will be purged at the same time because I just don't have time or space for 2 cars anymore.

I'm going this weekend to do a few test drives and find out what I like best. Is there anything I should be looking out for? I'm planning on going with a 2008 with ~8-20k miles. I'd like a new 09 but they seem to be about 10k more and the financing deals aren't nearly as attractive. I think Black Obsidian and Athens Blue (partial to blue bc of my current car) would be my first two choices but we'll see what I can find. My top 3 prospects are these all 2008 G37S 6MT Coupes. Correct me if I'm wrong but both the Graphite colors show up very similar in color in the pictures. They were all corporate cars from what I've been told.

Black Obsidian

Amethyst Graphite

Platinum Graphite

[/U] Any thoughts on any of these? I have confirmed that the biggest dealer near me has these and while I want to purchase the car within the next few weeks, I'm not sure I could walk away this weekend without the car.

I plan to do some simple mods on the car but nothing extreme because she will be my DD and after having a heavily modified Cougar to work on in the garage, I'd like to keep it clean and simple.

I'm very excited

Black Obsidian!! That ones the best, IMO..unless you can get your hands on a blue slate. That black one reminds me of mine..

Goodluck on finding the right car for you, its a lot of fun.

Welcome to the family....almost! Ha Ha. The main difference between Am. Graph. and Plat. Graph. is that in direct sunlight and at certain angles, the AG has shades of purple. The Plat Graph can have shades of beige in direct sun, but under fluorescent light (my favorite is at gas stations at night), it is such a deep rich silver/platinum color....that's why I chose my PG. Whichever color you choose, make sure it's one you don't mind taking care of (black) or one that you won't regret. You're gonna love your G!

Blue Slate really? They have this one as well but it's an AT and kinda plain in the pictures....... but I'm sure in person it looks much better because all the 37's are beautiful.

Black was my first choice but I'm a bit concerned with the ~20k opposed to the ~9k the others have. I know it's not that much mileage but every little bit counts.
