I have been a member over on driver for a while now and I finally got in to a new G coupe.

She is bone stock right now except for the shaved rear, no lettering and no symbol.

Future Plans:
- Tints
- 20mm Spacers
- Front Plate Plugs
- Radar
- Test Pipes
- Stillen 3G Intakes

First QUESTION: What is the best radar detector you know of? I would ideally like to do a full install. There is a G35 that has a beautiful install and the readout is displayed through the rear view mirror. Is that a kit?

An because this thread would be worthless without pics.....

Congrats on the car! I've been using an Escort PassPort 8500 x50 Blue for the past month and love it. Has saved me quite a few times. You'll find on here it's going to be a battle between the Escort and the Valentine 1. I think you'd be happy with either. Just make sure to get a StealthCord to wire it to your powered rear-view mirror for a clean install and no dangling cords. Welcome to the family!

I want to install it in the headliner and make some sort of cap that covers it but does not interfere with it's operation. Trying to find the thread I found of the G35 with a similar install. His was actually mounted above the rear window in the center. I guess that is a better 360 view for the receiver???

 

I use the V1 and like it. But if you are looking for something more built in, then you might want to try K40 or one of Escort's built in detectors and laser shifters. I believe in Nevada, there is no law against using laser shifters.

Oh yeah...the debadge, for some reason my buddy and I didn't really do and rear end pics the night we snapped these. I do have one though.
