G37 4dr Journey transmission oscillations at low speeds

I picked up my G37 4dr Journey (7A) a month ago in Beijing and now have about 1,600 miles on it. Since day one, I noticed some oscillation (kind of front-to-back shimmy) at around 36mph (58kph). The oscillation is similar to what one would experience when driving a 5-speed at low RPM and higher gears. As long as the speed is kept at 36mph or so, the oscillation is persistent. This kind of oscillation, although not as obvious, is also noticed at lower speeds.

This is not noticeable when accelerating with constant throttle from 0-80mph. But slowing down from higher speed to 36mph causes obvious oscillation. Transmission hesitation is obvious when accelerating from around 36mph.

Tire balance does not seem to be the cause although I haven't check it. At the said speed with oscillation, the steering wheel feels solid and stable. And the car does not have any such problems above 50mph.

I'd appreciate comments from G37 owners having similar problems.

g37S 7A Journey sedan also, but no such problem. You should inform the dealer before something bad happens.

I must stress that this is reproduced most easily when decelerating from 60mph to 36mph and then hold the speed at 36mph. If you accelerate or decelerate THROUGH this speed point, you may not notice it.

Just to let you know, Beijing China is not an outdated place like most typical people think it is. Just look at the Olympics, their facilities look more updated than most places
