Ah cool, yeah we have a lot of G owners on the boards that live in Tampa. I'm in orlando though, i dunno if he'll go that far! My G35 was black, and i swore i wouldn't get any other color. I can't say that i regret it.. but i do sometimes wish it was easier to maintain.
Blue slate is a beautiful color though, probably would have been my 2nd choice.
I completely relate to the maintenance issue and had accepted that I would probably go with black until I found the last Blue Slate on the lot hiding in the back 40. I wanted another red G but I had so much trouble with the paint on my 05 that I was VERY hesitant. Fortunately they didn't have any or I would have another red one ... besides, my "state of the arts" tag looks much better on the BS than it did on the red
I also had a red G35 coupe (2006) - right now I think I'm the only red G37 in the Tampa area (they had to bring mine in from Miami). And yeah, the red paint is still a PITA to keep looking good. I'll look for your blue slate on the roads...
