Totaled the S2000, got the G37!!
Hey Guys,
I had my pristine AP1 S2000 totaled last month due to my seats being stolen and the replacement cost was greater than the % FMV percentage. I shopped around and was highly impressed with the G37 since I first saw it in person at the Miami Beach Auto Show last year. I've had my Slate Blue G37S 6MT for about a month and I love it!! For the price, considering the competition, it's an awesome bargain, much like the same way when I first bought my S2000 brand new. Since I haven't owned a 4 seater GT car in about 10 years (MkIII Supra was my last 4 seater) I wasn't sure if I would like it. So far it's an awesome machine and is like a Japanese Maserati. The power delivery on the G37 is not peaky like the S2000, and has a nice flat torque curve. And man does it pull!! Especially on the highway! I took a road trip from Miami to Tampa and it drove beautifully. Just wanted to say hi!

Thanks guys!
Here's what happened...
My S2000 was parked in the garage in my apartment. After I came back from NY, I was going to go down to the beach for the afternoon and then realized that they slashed the top and stole my seats. I put a claim into my insurance company and they told me that the cost to replace the seats and top was around 12k. If the insurance company assesses the cost of repairs to be greater than a certain percentage of the market value of the car, they deem it to be a total loss. The car is then totaled, and they give you a check for the fair value of the car minus the deductible. That's what happened to me.
Hey teedoh, how did you know my name?
