i just wanted to give youguys truthful and honest expression towards G37S

i have owned it for a week and it has not impressed me to the point where i

think the G is a right car for me yet

actually spending a lot of Money on Gas commuting 50miles a day

as soon as my S is done with fluid exchange and wheel repair

im gonna try not to drive the G as often as i do now

putting it so many miles fast

I was going to tell you to give it some time and get past the break-in. After it loosens up, the car is real easy and a real joy to drive fast. While off the line acceleration is not a strong point, freeway passing acceleration is almost instantaneous. This is a car made for fast driving.

However, if you have to reach out to touch the shifter, then your seat is not adjusted correctly. Yet, it appears, you would rather leave your seat where it is and complain, than fix the problem.

Also, if you think this car should not be offered with an automatic, then you do not realize you would, otherwise, not be able to buy this car. If Infiniti could only sell the G37 coupe with a MT, then, they probably would not even make it all.

These complaints appear to be from someone without an open mind. It is very difficult to get people to see when they do not want to.

If you kind of like the car, then great. If not, then get what you want. For me, and for what and how and where I drive it, I can not imagine giving it up. I am in the process of negotiating a contract with a sports car manufacturer, and this is a company I worked with and drove for for 25 years. For my needs, I will keep the G; unless they get so upset with me that I'll have to drive one of their cars to keep the deal going. But, even in this case, I will only give up the G kicking and screaming.

so you like it but it doesn't impress you?...is that right?

I'm a new G37s owner, and a former owner of a very sweet S2K

I had the original model year S2K and while it was fun for a while it had run it's course with me and I was very happy to sell it and move on

Only had the G a few days now but I flat out love it

It is indeed apples to oranges though - the G is pretty close to being the best of comfort and sport worlds, I don't think anyone would argue that the S isn't the most confortable car on a long drive, even if you aren't a big guy

No regrets at all on this swap

We'll one things for sure, you won't have to worry about getting a burritto, cig butt, bird dropping or other flying object in the face with the G37S .

Since we're into giving opinions, I think the S2k is a rather average looking sports car, but then it's very cheap and you do get what you pay for. I guess in it's price range it holds it own for performance and reliability, but I'd rather spend a bit more and get a mans car like a Corvette.

can we just ban this jacka$$???

he is only trying to stir things up...who buys a car for 40K+ and constantly bitche$ about it?

he's actually making me dislike other S2K drivers cause I assume they are like him....

its ok to post honest issues and concerns about this car because like the rest of us it's not perfect...but this guy is just a clown who wouldn't know a good car if it ran him over...

Not sure why everyone is getting all fired up over this. OP, let's see some pics of you G37 and S2000 side by side. Should be a good comparison!
