Now keep in mind the entire restaurant is of hispanic descent including the mid level manager. I speak w/ the mid level manager first and I show him my sandwich and his reply in broken english is this:
Me: My sandwich is burnt and is missing the mayo, pickles, etc
Manager: wha...wha is problem
Me: I need you to fix the sandwich
Manager: (sighs)...there nothing wrong
Me: yes there is...look at the sandwich
Manager: You want nother' one
Me: I just want it fixed
Manager: Ok
Why the hell did he bring me out another sandwich that was even more burnt that the one before w/ the bacon on top w/ alot of onions and alot of lettuce w/ still no mayo. None of the cooks speak english cuz the manager was talking to them in spanish and frankly the manager may be able to speak it, but does not understand it when it is spoken to him.
This is the kind of Shyt that pisses me off and makes me hope that they pass the bill dealing w/ immigration and have it be a felony to be an undocumented worker in this US. It is about damn time in my opinion.

As to the original topic:
I feel that illegal immigration is a problem. It goes beyond just having lower level jobs filled or more competition for higher level jobs. These people are also benefiting from the social/economic system that is in place, and if the don’t have a soc. they’re not really helping out. I'm not sure if many of you saw the birth stats from 2005, but about 48% of the population increase last year (births and deaths only) were Hispanic. Hispanics are only about 20% of the population and they are multiplying almost as fast as every other race in the US combined. When many of those children are from illegal immigrants (assumption) that puts an even harder strain. Those kids are going to needs schooling, probably have some type of government sponsored insurance. All of this things in my opinion out way the good that is done by having them here.
I don't think the people here should all be shot or deported, but given time and opportunity to become true citizens. At the same time tough enforcement of board laws does need to be enlisted. The boards of the world’s only true super power are some of the most lax. We can all imagine what happens when you get to cocky in a situation like that. If a few thousand peasants can come through a few thousand terrorists can come through. We leave our back door open, and everyone knows it.
Another interesting story I saw recently was that about half of the Mexican people feel that their government is loosing control. To me this means some type of civil revolution in the next couple years. It may be peaceful, it probably wont be. That will most certainly not help the situation as thousands of refugees try to leave their war torn land.
I think that if not to help the Mexican people then to protect ourselves our government should invest in trying to strength the quality of life in our neighboring countries. This can be done by negotiating better trade agreements. Allow more US company's with lots of money to spend to go down there and setup camp. The same illegal immigrants working in factories in the US can be doing it there. And with less competition so they can get into higher positions and increase the quality of life in their own communities.
If the thousands of people that illegally come into our country every year were to put as much effort in to fixing their conditions at home as they do trying to escape I think things would be much better off for everyone. The people obviously have motivation. What they lack is guidance.
We shall all see how this develops over the next year or so. I'm sure things will dip much further before they get better.

And you can go flip burgers or pick berries for $4 an hour, but it sure beats making $.15 an hour at home.
Now imagine going to that country and not speaking the language at all. You would try to do your best and find whatever job and housing you can. You don't have insurance. Your trying to send most of your money back home to your family, or to save up enough to bring them here for a better job and schooling.

Good point There are a lot ot illegals here .Students who 's visa's run out but they are still here.Oh the 7-11 and Dunkin donuts.So don't just pick on mexicans.There are all kinds of illegals here.I know people who buy homes and what not they don't plan on leaving.I wonder what kind of taxes they pay on that Visa .We pay all the taxes.

I feel like if they want the same rights as us, they need to become one of us.

Many Southeast Asians still hold some animosity towards Japan due to Japan's empire ambitions in that area (e.g. Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.). Now Japan has significant investments in that area i.e. Thailand where significant manufacturing and real-estate investments have been made.
Japan used to pretty much hate all other ethnic Asians and saw them as lower level life forms. They had similar visions of grandeur as the **** regime did, except they actually had a religion behind that supported it. The Shinto religion and the belief that Japan's emperor is a god and its people the chosen ones allowed them to seemingly fight to the death against all odds in the name of the emperor. Japan also has a very strong warrior class tradition and the principles of Bushido was keenly observed during wartime. Death was preferred over dishonor, defeat, and capture. This is why America decided not to invade the mainland in 1945 and instead drop a couple of nukes.

I cant speak for others but most Chinese people dosnt hate Japanese people, WWII was a long time ago. hating a whole ethnic for the crimes commited by a few is retarded... thats some pretty ignorant views to pin hatred on people.
