They will have insurance and other nice things. That is my point.

thats not what it sounded like on your first post

"I feel like if they want the same rights as us, they need to become one of us."

they're already americans...dont forget just like the mayflower they betrayed a country, comitted treason, traveled to a place with a chance of no hope, gave up family and sacrificed for a better life that may not happen....if anything they are americans ,REAL americans! .....not like you or me who happen to be born here and have rights given to us by those who betrayed their country so we can have this good life...if anything we should welcome these ppl and help them not belittle them...they are already belittled by their very own ppl who oppressed them in the first place...thats why they are here....

and yes it would help if someone would take their damn time and make english classes for these pple, so ppl like you can stop worrying about there damn hamburgers not being done right.......

oh yea...going through the proper channels dosnt get you better pay or better jobs...just documents you to make sure they keep the census vote up to date

also you dont get a better job anyway....its based on skill level..and from what ive seen some of these immigrants are better at their jobs than americans or they wouldnt be all over the place doing the jobs that no one else can cause their fat, lazy tale wants to by a Lexus.

yea getting a burnt hamburger from burger king is good reason to bring up the immigration issue.

like the other poster said, they are just people who are doing anything they can to support their families. Yeah everyone would shutup if they did it legally but sometimes thats not an option. I dont know how anyone can get pissed off at them unless your a ignorant a$$hole.

You need to divert that hatred towards the lazy *** people who dont work or go steal and cheat to make money. and they were born here and have every oppurtunity available to them.

I said the same in both, just in a nicer way in the second ....I was still pissed off in the earlier ones. I stand by what I believe in saying any illegal who is undocumented and is not a legal citizen or at least trying either needs to leave or get legalized like the marijuana in my back yard

I feel the same way.
I am korean and although my parents came here the legal way, immigrating then becoming naturallized, you realize you do not to be a very good english speaker to become a citizen.
My parents worked from the ground up and I am super proud of them. I agree with someone who posted earlier that unless you are an american native indian, your *** was an immigrant here sometime or another. If you look at it from that perspective, the Mexicans were here before you gringos.
Anyways, I just think that people of the caucasian nature are just very racist.
Throughout history, there has been racism starting from slavery to Japanese Internment to Arabic persecution after 9-11. What I mean by this is you people of the caucasian nature usually cant even discern the difference from a Japanese to a Korean. Similar situation with the Arabs and people of brown color from that area.

well i agree with mike tyson for once. you cant just open the boarder and let anyone through. its not like all immigration is illegal. they have the proper channel for that. if they want to get here, come the proper way. for those already here, theres no need to kick them out. but the boarder is a joke, they needed to do something about that a long time ago, better late than never though. im pretty much saying what bush is saying.

This is a great topic. I think my views are. I think illegals should be given an opportunity to become legal. Don't know how that all work, but i'm sure there is a way. I mean there has to be a line drawn, you just can't give everybody and anybody benefit/social security and everything. I understand illegals work hard, and I respect that. But they shouldn't use that as a factor to get what they want. I mean, if the work is so hard, why stay here? I mean, the boycott this was semi effective but I honestly don't think it's realistic. I mean, where would they go if they don't do work here? obviously not to where they came from because that's the reason they came here in the first place! I support any initiative to get people legalize, but i don't support any sort of hand outs.

And what's this thing about trying to adopt the national anthem into spanish or have a spanish version? Which crackhead came up with that? I think that's possibly the dumbest thing I've heard recently, and suprised the news gave it such great coverage. It makes no sense to me what so ever. I hope i didn't offend anybody, not my purpose.

Between expectations and reality there is a gap that born citizens in the United States expect from immigrants. I'd say this gap has been present throughout the history of this country as major waves of immigrants have settled, adapted, and embraced the everchanging culture of America.

So with that in mind, I understand the frustrations being represented, but it needs to be tempered with the reality of being an immigrant and their journey from non-english speaking low wage worker to naturalized, established, and contributing citizen of this country. Luckily I took spanish in school so I can at least tip toe around that BK situation and get my issue resolved with the workers, but put yourself in their shoes and realize that although this is a land of opportunity, it is also degrading, harsh, and many times unfair. Nevertheless, with $$$ to drop on a G, go upgrade your lunch to a Ruby's "hand-crafted" burger by english speaking white servers. Just don't open the door to the back to see Jose manning the kitchen.

I'm not white and I'm a naturalized citizen so I've sort of been there and can understand the hardships. When I first came, I was made fun of, picked on, singled out, and generally ostracized by the status quo. Not sure if this happens anymore, but during the early 80s it was commonplace. As for the manager not being able to properly speak english, that's a management problem. They should have hired a manager that could understood english properly to resolve customer issues.

This isnt about Immigrants, its about ILLEGAL immigrants

that has nothing to do with Burger King though, im sure they are mostly legal immigrants. im pretty damn sure that american teens arnt going to do much better.

you dont need to be a citizen to get a work permit, and they are offering plenty of work permits through the new legislation. Plenty of people can come legally and work. Im all for it to have better form of control in terms of whose getting inside the border.

Trust me, fast food don't try all that hard to weed out illegals, they depend on them for cheap labor. As long as they look like they tried to check, then they're not liable. My buddy use to manage a Taco Bell, and he said his employees all carried multiple ID/greencards. Not trying to target a particular group, just sharing my fast food experience.
