Just now finding out about the seamless one profile gaming through the 360, windows vista, and mobile devices is EXCELLENT!!

Sony will have a tough time matching that.

Here is what I think after watching the first 3hr live broadcast of e3 ...

xbox 360, seems like a ton of new very cool games coming out, killer apps ? might be ... they actually showed live content from the games ... although some seem to suffer from low frame rates, hopefully taken care of by the time they are out. Gears of war stuck out the most ... sick! and of course halo 3

pc, spore will rule! excellent idea, unique, never done before and seems to be done extremally well, theother game they showed from the creators of far cry looked insane (ps3 intro quality in real time) ... although it was funny how it crashed lol

ps3 .... hmmm whats there to say ? a bunch of pre rendered cgi intros, very disappointed with what I saw so far ... from what I remember they only showed 2 or 3 games with actual game play which didnt look impressive at all. And this is the 2nd e3 they have been showing off ps3 ... sony dropped the ball so far, we will see what the next days bring.

wii ... interesting, but doest appeal to me at this time, will definatelly have its market though.

edit. I seem to do this a lot ... didnt realize it was a club subforum, hope nobody minds.

ahh and what nice tracks of land on the british feed host in red

most of the stuff shown at ps3 conference were real time... the only CGI was Assasin's creed and that dragon riding game... theres a huge difference between a pre rendered CGI trailer vs a trailer rendered in real time. Both of them are not gameplay movies, but for trailers rendered in real time, it shows the gameplay will look that good. The most imprssive trailer was the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer, its rendered by the ps3 in real time... as was most part of the final fantasy XIII trailer, everything besides the train part are real time rendering by ps3.

If that is the case and the MGS4 intro was real time rendered ... then the graphics will be jaw dropping! kida hard to believe ... but dont get me wrong I hope its true, I would gladly pay $600 for that kinda quality.

you probably havnt seen the earlier trailers of MGS4 from the tokyo game show. Kojima was controlling the trailer Live and zooming the camera around at will with a controller. he also publicly siad that its real time.
Another evidence is that the Metal Gear Solid series has never ever used CGI in the game. every trailer since Metal Gear Solid 1 were rendered in real time.
that real time manipulation of the trailer at Tokyo Game show can be found under the MGS4 game profile @ gamespot.com

The more I read and watch about Assasin's Creed the more excited I get regarding the game. Its totally open ended taking place in 3 huge cities with never been seen number of inbahitants on screen at once. You can do anything you want not unlike Grand Theft Auto games, and take missions as the story unfolds.

What interests me the most is the gameplay. You obviously plays as an assasin and your mission is to assasinate various people in the cities. Theres a lot of fun stealth element involved in approaching your prey, followed by the climatic excitment of the quick assasination. Then followed by the escape sequence where all hell breaks loose. Yet the system is completely open ended, so theres many ways to approach the target, killing the target and multiple escape routes.

This game is going to be sick. A must have type of game IMO.

unreal turnament 2007 ps3 rendering unreal engine 3.0 in real time

not really my kinda game, i dont like death match shooters, but the engine is powerful. Gameplay wise though Id prefer the scripted single player action sequences from Gears of War. If any game is going to make me get an xbox360 this is it.

im a little disappointed that as powerful as ps3 is, theres still jagged edges long the building lines. Id think anti aliasing technology should have progressed by a lot since ps2 came out in 2000
